Howard County Invitational

The annual Howard County Invitational Swim Meet is right around the corner! The Roger Carter Seals are excited to be hosting this meet again this year.

This Invitational meet is a great opportunity for any swimmer in Howard County (Adult or kid) to swim against people their age and ability. We have hundreds of entries every single year which makes for an exciting day! Any swimmer of any age can come and enjoy fun and competitive races in the water all day. It doesn't matter whether entrants are 5 or 50, beginner or expert swimmers, all swimmers will be racing against others close to their age and ability. This is also a great chance for swim team swimmers to get experience outside of dual meets.

Please don't miss this opportunity to come and get a swimming experience that you can't get anywhere else this summer!!

Entry times must be in short course meters.
"No time" entries are acceptable; however, these entries will be seeded last in events. Swimmers may enter up to four events.  Programs will be available for $3.
Refreshments will be available during the meet.

Fees: $5.00 per individual event.

Custom medals: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Rosettes: 4th through 8th place in both divisions.
Heat winner ribbons for all but the last (fastest) heat in each event.

Swim Year Round!

The Clippers will hold open tryouts for swimmers age 6 and older at the Thunder Hill Pool on July 7th, July 14th & July 21^st.  Interested swimmers need to complete a Swimmer Sign Up Form (this is located on the Clippers website – www.clippersswim.org, click join the team on the left) in advance for an evening tryout session and time slot.  Each try out session will be split into age groups as follows:

   6:30 pm – 7:30 pm     

                  ages 6 – 8 & 9  - 10

    7:00 pm – 7:30 pm     

                  ages 9 - 10 & 11 – 12

   7:30 pm – 8:00 pm    

                  ages  11 – 12 & 13 and up

After all tryout sessions have been completed, the coaching staff will assess the swimmer evaluations and place in swimmers in applicable practice groups. If there are openings in the practice group, the swimmer will be offered a spot on the team. If there are NO open spots in the practice group, the swimmer will be placed on a waitlist.

Swim Team Fees are based on assigned practice group. Meet Fees are not included in the Swim Team Fees. There is a $50 Team Registration Fee
per swimmer and $65 USA Swimming Registration fee per swimmer.

Swimmers must be a CA Member or CA Resident to join the swim team.
