REGISTRATION

Registration can be accomplished in two ways this year:

1. By mail.  Mail-in registrations must be postmarked on or before Saturday, May 30, 2009 in order to receive the discounted price.  Mail-in registrations must be postmarked on or before Saturday, June 13, 2008 (Time Trials Day) to be eligible to swim in the June 20^th meet (our first dual meet).  A completed registration form is due by June 20^th in order to continue to participate with the swim team, although the absolute deadline for joining the swim team is June 27^th, as noted below.
2. At the Outdoor Pools Office.  They are open Monday-Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm (Special Saturday hours, May 30^th through August 1^st from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm).  You may drop off your registration during these hours.  Walk-in registrations received on or before Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 2:00pm will be eligible to swim in the Saturday, June 27^th swim meet..

Registration “Important to Know”:

• Absolute last day to join the swim team is June 27^th by 2pm at the Outdoor Pools Office.
• If your registration is received by May 30^th, you receive a discounted price per swimmer.
• Swimmers must be able to swim a full length on their front and back before or at the time trials.
• Swimmer’s age as of June 1, 2009 determines the age group for the competition throughout the summer.
• The Wading Pools will not be open for swimming during any “closed pool practices”.
• Columbia Resident swimmers must swim for the neighborhood where they reside.   CA members who do not live in Columbia will be placed on a swim team based on their residency in a Howard County elementary school district.  All participants must swim for the team according to neighborhood or district.
• Information packets that include practice and meet schedule will be available at the Outdoor Pools Office on Memorial Day.  General CNSL information and schedules are located at www.columbiaassociation.com.
